My journey started with you few months ago, and now when I look back, I feel I am a transformed person. I take analytical and solution driven approach in going about any problem I face, be it personal or professional. The challenges I faced were enormous, firstly, the pandemic, which had very few PM openings in the market. Secondly, even after spending close to 45 minutes drafting and personalizing resumes, I hardly got shortlisted for interviews. Thirdly, even though I landed a couple of interviews, I got out in the initial rounds, with recruiters and hiring managers telling me to that my answers were theoretical.
With the above challenges, and being locked at home during this pandemic, I was breaking down every single day, many suggested that I change my domain or relocate to a different country. But then, when the going gets tough the tough get going!
I think in all this struggle and my never giving up attitude, and regular prayers from myself and my family, God wanted to help me, and that’s why he made me stumble upon you. Your coaching was to me like the window, in a dark room. I am inspired by the way your coaching is designed Sirji, you first took the time to understand me as an individual, in this process you helped me recognize my strengths and weaknesses, you also wired my thought process in accordance with being a hopeful job seeker, you cleared all the myths about job hunting and programmed me for striving harder.
We then started working on two main aspects, understanding the PM process and working on my C.V and Cover letter. I am so happy that I am understanding the PM process from the grass-root level, this gives me so much confidence in building my STAR approach in framing good interview answers. In regards to my C.V and cover letter, the numbers speak for themselves, there were weeks were I had close to 3 to 4 interviews per week. Then we moved on to clearing many rounds, solving case studies and preparing for presentation.
This was my 5th company in the last round, I was nervous as normal, but you shouldered me with confidence, knowledge, and built my PM skills. Your coaching was just not limited to a fixed schedule of training sessions, there were many instances, I required immediate guidance with respect to communicating with the recruiters and hiring managers.
Rajan Sir, you were always up for guiding me and you did not mind the time difference of 11 hours and conducting the coaching sessions even at 12:30 a.m. your time. We had many coaching sessions late through the night and we worked tirelessly in handling immediate PM knowledge and Interview prep sessions.
I cannot thank you enough Sirji, I feel blessed to have been stumbled upon you for Product Management Coaching. You are simply the Best Coach, Motivating Friend, and Super Knowledgeable Mentor!
